Guadalupe T. Perez

Guadalupe T. Perez, 86, of Middlebury and formerly of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her son’s home in Indianapolis.  She had been in failing health the past few months.

She was born December 21, 1930 in Brownsville, Texas to Juan and Maria (Mora) Trevino.

On May 24, 1953 she married Luis A. Perez in Brownsville.  He died August 26, 2000.

Survivors include four daughters, Beatrice (Sheldon) Blosser of Goshen, Luisa Angela Perez of Noblesville, Diana (Ken) Munter of Indianapolis and Sylvia (Jesse) Schlabach of Middlebury; two sons, George (Susan) Perez of Goshen and Luis (Jody) Perez, Jr. of Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Antonio and Juan Trevino; a sister, Paulina Vasquez and a grandson, Ryan Perez.

A longtime area resident Mrs. Perez enjoyed cooking and sharing her Spanish recipes.  She enjoyed Christian music and spending time with her family.

She was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church.

Friends and family may call Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.  followed by a 4:00 p.m. memorial service at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Goshen.

A private graveside service will be held at Violett Cemetery.
