Gregory Snyder, 28, of Bristol, went to be with his Lord and Savior early Sunday morning following a car accident. He was born September 8, 1983 in Goshen to Linda (Carpenter) Snyder of Bristol and Harold "Junior" Snyder of Constantine, Michigan. He is survived by a brother, Randy (Sarah) Snyder of Bristol; two sisters, Laurie (Glen) Yoder of Millersburg and Julie (Mitchell Martin) Snyder of Buchanan, Michigan; two aunts, Lois (William) Dickison and Jackie Sarver; an uncle, Duane (Lyn) Snyder; nine nieces; five nephews; a great-niece; and extended family in North and South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Lucille Snyder and Jack and Polly Sarver. A 2002 graduate of Northridge High School, Greg was studying engineering at Ivy Tech. He attended Bristol United Methodist Church where he participated in mission trips to New Orleans, and enjoyed Young Adult activities. He volunteered at Buchanan Westerners Riding Camp and enjoyed volleyball, fishing and small motor repair. He loved his family, friends and helping his nieces and nephews with homework. He enjoyed welding, which started as a hobby, and became very good at it, earning certification as a master welder. He was most recently working as a welder at Niles Steel Tank. He also worked part time at Oakwood Daffodils, Twin Maples Lawn Care and formerly at United Trailers. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 23,at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 11 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, funeral service at Bristol United Methodist Church, 201 S. Division Street. Pastor Fred Stayton will officiate. Burial will follow in Trout Creek Cemetery, Bristol. Memorial contributions may be made to Bristol United Methodist Church Sunday School Fund or Salvation Army, South Bend.
