Gregory G. Riley

May 25, 1955 — January 3, 2017

Gregory G. Riley, 61, of Goshen,  passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Goshen Hospital where he had been since December 20.

He was born May 25, 1955 in Goshen to George E. Riley and Ethlyn (Hoke) Riley Sternberg.

Survivors include his mother, Ethlyn (John) Sternberg of Elkhart; six children, Angela (Kyle) Lamb of Nappanee, Stephen (Kristen) Riley of New Paris, Crystal (Joe) Cassel of Millersburg, Gregory Jr. (Kate) Riley and Kari (Kevin) Taylor, both of Goshen and Travis Riley of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren and a sister, Kim S. (Don) Fish of Martinsville.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2005.

Greg graduated from Goshen High School in 1974.  He ran track and field and set a school record in the 440.

He was an auto mechanic and worked at various locations including Harold Wiggins Service Station and Pletcher Motor.  He rode motorcycle.

Friends may call Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Jerald Turner, Dunlap United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice or American Lung Association.
