Grayson Caudill, 72, of Goshen, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023.
He was born September 10, 1950 in Hollybush, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dovie (Slone) Maggard and Chester Caudill.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Caudill; a daughter, Tammy (John) Watkins; grandson, Johnathan Grayson (Bethanie) Watkins; great-granddaughters, Ryiah and Zaylee; a brother, Harold (Jennifer) Caudill, Ligonier and step-father, Lee Maggard, Grethel, Kentucky.
Grayson graduated from West Noble High School in 1969, followed by vocational schooling at IVY Tech. He was employed in the mobile home industry for 40 years. He was mechanically inclined and gifted with many building skills.
He was the epitome of an honorable, loving family man, devoted to his family and the delight of his life were his great-granddaughters, Ryiah and Zaylee, who knew him as “Pops”
A U.S. Army veteran, Grayson served in Vietnam.
Grayson leaves behind many broken hearts but wonderful memories of a man whose legacy mirrors Provers 22:1, “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold.”
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 12, noon, until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Jamey Seaton and Craig Fritchley will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to The Sanctuary, Syracuse.
