Grace Ellen Krabill

Grace Ellen Krabill, 90, of Goshen passed away Tuesday, October 3, after several months of failing health.

She was born August 23, 1933 in Goshen to Glen and Dula (Roth) Hershberger.

On July 31, 1955 she married Dr. Willard S. Krabill in Goshen.  He died January 6, 2009.

Grace is survived by four children, Merrill (Clare) Krabill of Goshen; Jeannie (Phil) Miller of Goshen; Karen (Scot Yoder) Krabill of Mason, Michigan; and Ron (Nancy Chupp) Krabill of Seattle, Washington; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mabel Emmert of Sweet Home, Oregon and Joy Wyse of Newcomerstown, Ohio.

She graduated from Goshen High School in 1951 and from Goshen College in 1955.  She volunteered with MCC in Vietnam for three years from 1955-1958.

Grace was a member of College Mennonite Church and enjoyed quilting, reading, tennis, and being in nature, especially birds. After being born in Goshen, she lived in the Washington, D.C. area for several years before returning to the area as a teenager. Along with Willard and her family, she spent time living in California, Chicago, Taiwan, and China, though Goshen was always home, and the Goshen College community was always an important part of her life. Grace delighted in spending time with family and watching her grandchildren grow.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at College Mennonite Church with Rev. Pamela Yoder officiating. Visiting hours will be held at the church before the service beginning at 12:30pm.
