Glenwood “Jake” Schrock, 95, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Waterford Crossing.

He was born on April 30, 1930, in Goshen, to Vern L. and Mary Lavona (Price) Schrock. On June 22, 1952, he married Marjorie Stealy at West Goshen Church of the Brethren. They were married for 68 years.

A proud veteran, Jake graduated from Goshen High School in 1948 before serving in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952, which included a tour in the Korean War from 1951 to 1952.

For many years, he was a dedicated member of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren. Jake had a long and successful career in the automotive industry. He began at Goshen Auto Electric & Brake Service, Inc. in 1952 and later became a respected service manager at Sorg Dodge, where he worked from 1964 until his retirement in 2010. For Many years he was a proud member of the Goshen Elks and the American Legion.

In his spare time, Jake loved to ride his moped around town, often accompanied by his signature whistle and cowbell. He found his greatest joy in attending events for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a testament to his loving and devoted spirit.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan G. (Neil) Graves of Goshen; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Schrock; his daughter, Vicki L. Lehman; his parents; and his siblings, Clifford R. Schrock, John L. Schrock, and Lorraine M. Hite.

All services will be held at West Goshen Church, located at 1200 Berkey Avenue in Goshen. Friends may call on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 3 to 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service.

Burial with military honors will follow the service at West Goshen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
