Glenn Derwood Ray

Glenn “Derwood” Ray, 84, of Goshen, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 1, 2021, at his residence.

He was born August 25, 1936 in Ripley, Mississippi to Dewey and Obie (Richardson) Ray.

On June 13, 1961 he married Ruth Davis in Goshen, IN.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Maynard Ray of Goshen and Dwayne (Cobi) Ray of Edwardsburg, Michigan; a grandson, Donnie Ray; a step-granddaughter, Charity Watson and three great-grandchildren, Xavier and Devin Ray and Destiny Watson.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Oleen Walton and Daphine Ray; five brothers, Hurschel, Cletus, Lamar, Melvin and Gearald Ray;

Glenn served three years in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a driver for Jayco, INC., where he retired after several years of service. He was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church in New Paris. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved his flowers.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Full Gospel Community Church .
