Glendon E. Lantz

Glendon E. Lantz, 88, of Goshen passed away peacefully Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Greencroft Healthcare surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 2, 1934 in Shipshewana to Ezra and Ina (Troyer) Lantz.

On June 29, 1958 he married Esther R. Kuhns at North Goshen Mennonite Church. She died February 1, 2016.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney (JoLisa) Lantz of Shipshewana and James (Jodie) Lantz of Goshen; a daughter, Krista (Boyd) Smith of Goshen; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Truman and Robert; and two sisters, Gladys Miller and Irma Graber.

Glendon was a truck driver and also worked in the mobile home and R.V. manufacturing industries in a variety of departments. He enjoyed singing gospel songs and playing his guitar, bowling, and playing checkers.

He was very active at Grace Community Church and often referred to Prov. 3:5-7; Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. There will also be one hour of visitation, Friday, May 19, prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service at Grace Community Church. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate.

Burial will follow at Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen.
