Glenda Lou Adkins

Glenda Lou Adkins, 73, of Goshen, died at her home Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2013. She was born April 4, 1939 in Holden, West Virginia, to Glen and Eunice (Pennington) Walsh. She married Billy Ronald Adkins, April 9, 1960 in West Virginia. He died August 21, 2011. She is survived by two daughters, Ronna (Mark) Beck and Julie (Jeff) Sweetser, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Brendan and Cailin Beck and Drew and Jillian Sweetser; two sisters, Kathy (Harry) Evans and Susan (Brooks) Lester, both of Lexington,North Carolina; and two brothers, Arlie (Violet) Walsh of Clarksburg, West Virginia and David (Viola) Walsh of Bassett, Virginia. A Goshen resident since 1960, Mrs. Adkins retired from Triangle Rubber in 1996. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 7 p.m. funeral service will be conducted. Cremation will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
