Glen Gerald Shuder, 83, of Goshen, died Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2009, at his home.  He had been battling pancreatic cancer. He was born in Milford, Indiana, on November 22, 1925, to the late Cleveland and Rosa V. (Zimmerman) Shuder.  He married Marjorie Elizabeth Beck on February 3, 1952 in Goshen.  She preceded him in death on July 20, 2001. He graduated from Milford High School in 1944 where he was a member of the band and the basketball team.  He served in the US Army during World War II with the 1st Calvary Division in the Pacific Theater.  He worked at CS Meyers Ford in 1951, Goshen Farm Supply in 1952, Eby Ford from 1952 to 1967 and with Whitehal Laboratories from 1967 to 1991, when he retired. He was a member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen and the Goshen VFW, Post #985.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing, watching IU basketball and Notre Dame football. He is survived by two sons, Gary L. Shuder of Mishawaka and Bradley J. (Jennifer) Shuder, DDS, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Jane (Richard) Rowe of Logansport; and his companion, Joyce Lebold of Goshen. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 17, and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 18, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2009, funeral service will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. John von Lackum of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Elkhart.
