Glema "Sally" Thacker

Glema “Sally” Thacker, 79, of Goshen, died Tuesday morning, March 10, 2009, at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on January 11, 1930, to William Jefferson and Martha (Thacker) Gillispie. Ms. Thacker moved to Goshen in 1973 and worked in home healthcare retiring in 1985.  She was a member of the Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Lawson and two sons, Ruey “Rudy” Blackburn and Ken (Deb) Thacker, all of Goshen.  Also surviving are six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at the funeral home. A 12:00, noon, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Brother Billy Lamb of the Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the Goshen Pentecostal House of Prayer.
