Gladys F. Stouder

Gladys F. Stouder, 97, of Goshen, died Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born June 14, 1923 in Nappanee to Roy and Gertrude (Morgan) Flora.

Mrs. Stouder is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Wade) Ford of Fletcher, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Gina Thomas; a great-grandson, Bryan (Natalie) Thomas and a great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Ed Flora and Eleanor Bergey.

A member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Mrs. Stouder graduated from Miami Senior High School, Florida.  She taught private piano and organ lessons, served as a church organist and led a Girl Scout Troop.

While at Greencroft she developed a treasured friendship with Naomi Jantzi, who spent many hours reading to her as her eyesight declined and spending time with a close cousin, Lois Martin.

Private services will be held at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.

Memorial donations may be given to Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Gideons International or a charity of the donor’s choice.
