Gladys I. Royer, 77, of Goshen died at her home early Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2008, after a 15 year battle with lymphoma. She was born in Greenville, Ohio, on March 8, 1930, to the later Omer S. and Emma (Fisher) Cool. She married Dale L. Royer on January 10, 1954, in Greenville, Ohio. He survives. Mrs. Royer graduated from Franklin Monroe High School in Darke County, Ohio. She moved to Elkhart County in 1956. She was a member of the old German Baptist Brethren Church, Goshen. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Dale; three sons, Allen (Patricia) Royer of Goshen, Mark (Lou) Roy of Modesto, California, and Melvin (Barbara) Royer of Marion; two daughter, Karen (Leonard) Meador of Rossville and Dian (Doug) Reavis of North Manchester; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Verlin (Arlene) Cool of Greenville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Glenna Miller. Friends will be received 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2008, funeral service will be held at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Goshen. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Church Cemetery, Goshen.
