Gertie L. Miller, 90, Goshen, died Wednesday morning, September 1, 2010, at her home.  She had been in failing health, especially the last ten days. She was born in Goshen on July 19, 1920, to the late Levi J. and Mary (Schrock) Miller. She married Ammon A. Miller, on December 21, 1939, in Elkhart County.  He preceded her on November 29, 1997. She is survived by children, Mary Etta (Norman) Lee of Goshen, Edith (Eddy) Gault of Reform, Alabama, Esther Stauffer (Aaron) Lapp of Kinzers, Pennsylvania, Susan Stauffer of Sturgis, Michigan, Treva (Steve) Classen of Walnut Hill, Florida, A. Ray (Vonda) Miller of Canon City, Colorado, and Bernice (Aaron) Stoltzfus of Goshen; 40 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; many step-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Leanna Mullet; sisters, Ida, Fannie and Mary Ann Miller; brothers, Anan L., Solomon, Willis, Elroy, David and Levi Leslie Miller; and sons-in-law, Vernon Mullet, Roy Thomas, Roger Stauffer, and Charles Stauffer. A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church and volunteered at World Missionary Press and as a grader for Gospel Echoes Team Prison Ministry. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 2010, funeral service at Pleasant Grove Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastor Randall Riegsecker and the Pleasant Grove Ministry will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to World Missionary Press or Gospel Echoes.
