Geraldine Alma Juday

Geraldine Alma Juday, 87, of Elkhart, died early Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Valley View Health Care Center.  She had been ill the last two and half years. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 23, 1920, to Harold and Myrtle (Glickert) Thomas.  She married Ralph E. Juday on September 14, 1940, in Goshen.  He died April 22, 2006. A homemaker, Mrs. Juday was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen; the Goshen High School Class of 1939; VFW Post 985; Goshen Elks Lodge #798; and Goshen American Legion Post #30. She is survived by a daughter, Jackie (Jim) Boyland of Elkhart; two sons, David M. (Pam) Juday of Elkhart, and Tom (Mary Ann) Juday of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jane (George) Pestor of Goshen. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 4:30 p.m. rosary will be held. A 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, 2008, funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Father Christopher Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Healthcare Reflections Unit.
