Gerald Lewis Tomasello

Gerald L. Tomasello, 80, of Goshen, died Friday, November 1, 2019, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born January 20, 1939 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Leonard and Thelma (McEwen) Tomasello.

On January 7, 1977 he married Janice A. Kelsey in Spring Arbor, Michigan.

She survives along with two daughters, Gay Lynn (Sky) Borgenhagen of Cascade, Wisconsin and Michelle Lynn (Timothy) Ostermiller of Omaha, Nebraska; two sons, Geoffrey Lane Tomasello of Dunedin, Florida and Steven Michael (Julie) Lewan of Goshen; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Sharlotte (Marston) Fortress and Charles B. (Denise) Tomasello, both of Spring Arbor, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gerry attended First Baptist Church, Goshen.  He loved to carve friendship spoons and walking sticks and to read, especially about the Civil War.  He also enjoyed the great outdoors and being in his garden.

He retired from Service Master after 30 years of service.

A memorial service will be held in Spring Arbor, Michigan, around Thanksgiving time.
