Gerald “Rohnnie” Frederick Rohn, 71, of Goshen, died February 17, 2011, at his home. He had been ill the past year and a half with cancer. He was born in Goshen on August 16, 1939, to the late Melvin F. and Gene (Shannon) Rohn. He married Sandy Belcher on July 2, 1962 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are four children, Darney (Dave) Slater, Kelly (Ty) Brown, Andrea (Jimmy) Adams and Rick Rohn; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barb (Ron) Scheetz; and two brothers, Kim (Anita) Shannon and Manley (Diane) Rohn. The Rohns were foster parents for 102 children. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Brown in 2002. A 1958 graduate of Goshen High School, he worked for the City of Goshen at Oakridge Cemetery for 35 years, retiring in 2002. Friends may call 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 23, at the funeral home. A 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Robert LeCount of the Bridge of Hope Fellowship, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
