Georgiana "Georgie" Rhodes

Georgiana “Georgie” Irene (Stevenson) Rhodes, Goshen, 81, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Majestic Care of Goshen.

She was born on June 30, 1945, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Homer and Anna (Houston) Stevenson.

Georgie spent many years as a dedicated hairdresser, forming lasting friendships with everyone who sat in her chair. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome. Her warm smile, kind heart, and genuine love for people brought joy to countless lives. Above all, Georgie embraced life with enthusiasm, finding happiness every day and sharing that joy with everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

Surviving Georgie are sons James (Peggy) Payne, Bradenton, Florida, and Jerry Rhodes, Goshen; grandchildren James, Jesse, Hazel, and Daisy Rhodes, Page and Jamey Payne, Jessalynn Kinney, and Sophie Randolph; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Gary Stevenson, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to Georgie’s wishes, she will be cremated at Yoder-Culp Crematory. Visitation will be held at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home on Saturday, August 1, from 2-6 p.m.
