Georgia B. Mast

Georgia B. Mast, 92, of Carmel, Indiana, died Wednesday morning, October 1, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born in Nappanee, Indiana, on November 28, 1915, to Howard and Minnie (Gibson) Moore.  She married Albert J. Mast on February 11, 1938, in Elkhart.  He died March 13, 1985. A beautician, Mrs. Mast owned and operated Georgia’s Beauty Salon for 25 years.  She was a former member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren and Sebring Brethren Church in Florida. She is survived by two daughters, Cuba (David) Venturini of Paso Robles, California, and Dawn Nisley of Carmel, Indiana; a son, Darby Mast of Fort Wayne; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marjory Wise and Norma Berkey, both of Goshen, and Betty (George) Green of Bluffton, Indiana; and two brothers, Don Moore of Berne and Jim Moore of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Emily Russell and Jean Blem; and two brothers, Richard and Forrest Moore. A private burial will be held in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, on Thursday, October 2, 2008. Memorial contributions may be directed to Goshen City Church of the Brethren.
