George L. Treat, 88, of Marion, Arkansas, died Saturday morning, January 27, 2007, at the Willow Bend Nursing Home. He was born in Bristol, Indiana, on February 1, 1918, to George and Anna (Good) Treat. He married Wava P. Abramson on April 29, 1940, in Angola, Indiana. She died April 25, 1967. Mr. Treat’s second wife, Ethel, also preceded him in 2001. A 50 year resident of Goshen, Mr. Treat owned and operated Treat’s Auto Salvage in Hoxie/Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Neil) Smithson of Turrell, Arkansas; a son, Ronald (Linda) Treat of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother, Harold Treat of Florida. He was preceded in death by his wives; a daughter, Janet Gehring in 2001; and three brothers, Clarence, Charlie and Carl Treat. Friends will be received 11 to 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home. Rev. Kenny Rogers of the FullFaithChristianCenter, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in OakridgeCemetery, Goshen.
