George A. Oswald, 82, of Goshen died Saturday afternoon, January 9, 2016 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born November 7, 1933 in Goshen to Delbert and Maggie (LaMunyon) Oswald.
On August 22, 1958 he married Shirley Fought at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Goshen.
She survives along with two brothers, Delbert Oswald, Jr., and Daniel Oswald both of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Paul Oswald and an infant sister, Barbara June Oswald.
George was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1955-1958. He worked as a cabinet maker at IXL Cabinet Company and Homecrest Cabinetry, Goshen. He enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 one hour prior to the 11:30 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.
