George L. Neild, 65, of Goshen, passed away Sunday morning, September 20, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born August 3, 1950 in Cortland, New York to Otto and Ruth (Beebe) Neild. On October 21, 1972 he married Kay E. Morris in Tioga Center, New York. She survives along with four children, Andy (Caroline) Neild of Streamwood, Illinois, Jennifer (Scott) Schaetzle of Bourbon, Amy (Matt) Kinnell of Wilmore, Kentucky and Kelly (Jeremy) Jackson of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and four siblings, Garth (JoAnne) Neild of Williamson, New York, Georgia Gould of Cape Coral, Florida, Gloria (Ed) Bidwell of Owego, New York and Gayle (Russell) Gates of Hopkinton, New Hampshire. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Neild moved to the Goshen area in 1993 from New York. He worked as a tool and die operator at Goshen Stamping and also a farmer. Following his retirement he started Rock Run Taxi Service. He was an active member of People's Bible Church, Benton, where he was a former elder of missions, team leader and youth leader. In the Tioga Center area Mr. Neild served as a 4-H leader, volunteer fireman/EMT and as a national Farmedic instructor. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Friends may call Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at People's Bible Church on Thursday, September 24, 2015, starting at 11 a.m. Pastor John Randolph will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to People's Bible Church for the Mission Trip Fund.
