George Arthur Davis, 61, of Jones, Michigan, died Sunday afternoon, May 13, 2007, at Eby Pines Campground, Bristol, where he worked in maintenance. He was born in Goshen, Indiana, on April 2, 1946, to Ernest George and Anna R. (Whirledge) Davis. In addition to working at Eby Pines Campground, Mr. Davis had also worked at Kinro Manufacturing, Holle’s Salvage in North Webster and the Bag Factory in Goshen. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, camping and going to stock car races. He is survived by three brothers, Howard W. (Sue) Davis of Goshen, Richard M. Davis of Michigan City, and Lindale Johns of Goshen; and two sisters, Gertrude M. (Duane) Bolinger of Goshen and Rose D. (Danny) Kehr of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Jr. and Paul Davis. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
