Genevive Irene (Miller) Kehr, 83, of Goshen, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. Born March 10, 1938 in Emmatown, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Ethyl (Norwood) Miller.
On October 7, 1956 she married Jesse S. Kehr Jr., who survives her. To this union were born three sons – Robert S. of Sutter Creek, California, Bryan L. of North Newton, Kansas, and Ronald L., deceased. She is survived by her brother Daniel B. Miller, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Genie loved to sing and always had an inspirational tune to offer, even in difficult times. She loved to cook, knit, crochet, and sew. She was generous with her time and talents while helping others, and you could often count on finding the fruits of her labor at local Craft Bazaars.
Genie was a wonderful companion, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 5 to 7p.m. and Sunday, November 14, from 12, noon, until the 2p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. The family kindly requests masks be worn inside if attending the visitation or service.
Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Mennonite North Cemetery following the service.
Memorial donations may be given to The Depot or The Window.
