Gary M. Simmons

Gary M. Simmons, 73 of Millersburg died Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at home of natural causes.

He was born November 14, 1949 in Wabash, Indiana to Rev. James and Betty (Smith) Simmons.

On July 28, 1973 he married Jerilyn Johnson at Goshen City Church of the Brethren.

She survives along with a son, Ian (Stacie) Simmons of Syracuse; a daughter, Heather (Bill Hubner) Simmons of Millersburg; and three grandchildren, Paige Elizabeth, Carter Michael, and Lilli Simmons.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Dean) Maust; an infant daughter, Florence Margaret Simmons; and a grandson, Matthew Michael Simmons.

A Vietnam veteran, Mr. Simmons worked as a driver for Eagle Ready Mix concrete production. Retirement was his hobby. Gary valued his time with his grandchildren, attending activities and supporting them as he could.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. Rev. Terry Tyler will officiate.
