Gary G. Berkey

Gary G. Berkey, 62, of Goshen died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Elkhart Hospice House.  He had been ill since 2014.

He was born April 30, 1955 in Goshen to Gordon D. and Betty I. (Nagle) Berkey.

He is survived by a half brother, Sherman L. (Vicki) Holdread of New Paris; and guardians, Mark Stouder and Kris Stowe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary was a quality control inspector and die cutter at Flex-Steel for 23 years, retiring in 2009.  He was a model railroad enthusiast and member of the N-gauge Model Railroading Club, Warsaw and the Elkhart Model Railroad Club.

He enjoyed heavy metal and hard rock music and concerts. Gary was a loyal friend with a soft spot for his cat, Mrs. Kitty.

Friends may call Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a Saturday, May 20, 2017 memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m.  Rev. Terry Tyler will officiate.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
