Gary Lynn Beard

Gary Lynn Beard, 51, of Goshen, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 19, 2015 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, due to complications from stomach cancer. He was born December 8, 1963 in Goshen to Harry and Shirley (Starkey) Beard. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathleen (Albaugh) Beard; four children, Jeremy, Andrew, Amber and Nicholas (Katlynne) Beard; a granddaughter, Lilyann; his mother, Shirley Beard of Goshen; two sisters, Sandy (Terry) Smith of Middlebury and Tina (Shane) Jackson of Goshen; and three brothers, Harry (Linda) Beard, Jr. of Chiefland, Florida, Dan (Carol) Beard and Scott (Cricket) Beard, both of Goshen. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry; a sister, Debbie Beard; two brothers, Bill and Kenneth Beard; a niece, Shelby Jackson and two nephews, Israel Beard and Jason Smith. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Lilyann. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and brothers. He also enjoyed watching Notre Dame football. Gary worked in the recreational vehicle industry and was currently employed at Forest River. Private services will be held.
