Gary Ray Bainter

Gary Ray Bainter, 72, of Bristol, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2025 in Bristol, Indiana.

He was born on November 13, 1952 in Goshen, Indiana, son of Chester and Mary (Kalb) Bainter.

On February 1, 1990 he Married Zonea Marie Elmore in Goshen.

Surviving are wife, Zonea Bainter; a daughter, Sabrina Hicks of Elyria, Ohio; step-daughter, Amanda Brown of Bristol; step-son, Jason Klase of Goshen; step-son, Douglas Klase of New Paris; a grandson, Brison; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda K. Franks of Goshen; a brother, Ronald Bainter of Middlebury; and an aunt, Betty Kalb of Bristol.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years during the Vietnam War. He was a Lifetime member of Howard County Vietnam Veteran Association, the American Legion and the VFW.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
