Gail Oversen

Gail (LePoidevin) Oversen, 53, of Goshen, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, January 19, 2012. She was born December 5, 1958, in Racine, Wisconsin, to John S. "Jack" LePoidevin and Patricia A. (James) LePoidevin A 1977 graduate of Wm. Horlick High School, Racine, she moved to Goshen in 1991. A loving and devoted mother, Gail was very active in support of her sons' sporting and academic activities throughout their schooling. She was also a partner in a residential painting business, PMS Painting, serving homes in the Goshen area. Gail is survived by her sons, Drake S. Oversen and Spencer C. Oversen, both of Goshen; a brother, Dean R. (Ruth) LePoidevin of Sussex, Wisconsin; a sister, Linda J. LePoidevin of Racine, Wisconsin; and nephews, Elliot J. ( Lauren) LePoidevin of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Alec S. LePoidevin of Seoul, South Korea, and Zachary J. LePoidevin of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents. An 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012, memorial service will be conducted at Goshen Christian Church, 2133 Goshen Christian Church, Goshen. Pastor Kim Huffman will officiate. Friends will be received 11 a.m. to 12, noon, on Monday, January 23, at Purath-Strand Funeral Home, Racine, Wisconsin with a 12 p.m. memorial service to follow. Inurnment will follow on Monday, January 23, 2012, at Mound Cemetery, Racine. Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Community Bank for her sons. The LePoidevin and Oversen families wish to extend their sincere and deep gratitude to Gail's close friends in the Goshen area, who devoted countless hours to her care and well-being these past several months.
