Gail Ann Matrau

Gail Ann Matrau, 59, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her home.

She was born November 8, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to Dan Prather and Margaret Ann (Woods) Cox.

Gail married Charles Matrau on November 26, 1977 in Chapin, Michigan. He survives.

Also surviving are children Tanya Marie (Diamond) Williams of Goshen, Tony Anson (Ashley) Matrau of Rockwell, Texas, and Todd (Jessica) Matrau of Goshen; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; brothers, Scott (Laura) Prather of Tipton, Michigan, Dan (Caryn) Prather of Allen Park, Michigan, Jimmy Methe of Camden, South Carolina, Ben Prather of Clio, Michigan; sisters, Dawn Methe of Constantine, Michigan, Kathy Sandlin of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; and  step-mother Nancy Prather of Holly Ridge, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Steve Prather, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Gordon (Doris) Matrau.

Mrs. Matrau enjoyed interior decorating and home crafts. She loved her kids and grandkids very much. She also loved her precious dog Prince.

Private services will be held and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
