Frederick “Jim” Waggoner, 68, of Goshen, died Thursday night, October 9, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in Mason, Michigan on December 26, 1939, to James Henry and Evelyn (Round) Waggoner. He married JoAnn (Hoke) Guffey on January 7, 1991. She survives. A Goshen resident since 1991, Mr. Waggoner worked as a receiving clerk for Gulf Stream in Nappanee until his retirement. He was a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge #836. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a son, James (Yvone) Waggoner of Buchanan, Michigan; three daughters, Ellen (Kenny) Gipson of Garrett, Indiana, Annie (John) Short of Ligonier and Christie Weed; a step-son, Scott Allan Guffey of Goshen; ten grandchildren; a sister, Lorrane (Dick) Marlow of Mason, Michigan; and a brother, Ruben (Pam) Waggoner of Lansing, Michigan. Friends may call 10 to 11 am, Wednesday, October 15 at the funeral home. An 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. James Shrock of First Baptist Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
