Frankie “Frank” Lee Williams, 81, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born December 27, 1942 in Hutsonville, Illinois to Noah Lemuel and Anna Mae (McClerren) Williams.
On August 21, 1965 he married Gail Ann Williams in Elkhart. She died August 14, 2017.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Williams, Goshen; three daughters, Kathleen (Jason) Schlemmer, Bristol, and Brenda (Scott) Whitehead and Ashley (Joshua) Gorce, both of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren, Brittany (Shane) Goedeck, Haley (Zachary) Evans, Lindsay (Steven) Smith, Zachary Williams, Camryn and Mitchell Whitehead, Danielle and Logan McIntosh, Brooklyn Gorce and Bradley and Alex Schlemmer; 13 great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Lily.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander Coffman and a brother, James Williams.
Frank was a high school basketball player and coached his kid’s baseball and softball teams. He was a Notre Dame football fan.
A devoted family man, he enjoyed family gatherings, family vacations, fishing and going to his grandkids band and sporting events.
He thoroughly enjoyed school and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Vincennes University and achieved his MBA from Indiana University. He retired as Vice President of APG, South Bend.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where an 11:30 a.m., Thursday funeral service will be held. Pastor Drew Richey will officiate.
Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society.
