Frank Eugene Stout

July 30, 1943 — February 8, 2012

Frank Eugene Stout, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday morning at home. He was born July 30, 1943 in Elkhart to the late Frank Charles and Helen (Hoffmaster) Stout. He married Laura (Igney) Ridley April 10, 1981. She survives along with a daughter, Erica Ridley of Tampa, Florida; and four sons, Brian and Evelyn (McCourt) Stout of Elkhart, Kevin and Shana (Wagoner) Stout of Niles, Michigan, Andrew and Libby (Watson) Stout of Alexandria, Virginia, and Robert Frank Stout, a senior at Purdue University; four grandsons, Nathan, Christian, Lucas and Camron; and two sisters-in-law, Juanita Stout and Doris Stout, both of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. A 1962 graduate of Elkhart High School, he was an Army veteran, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6, and serving a year in Korea. A machinist and welder for over 40 years, he worked at Excel Corporation, Kent Company and Crown Audio. A member of Dunlap United Methodist Church, he enjoyed fishing, painting, and working in the yard. His favorite vacation spot was Disney World. Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 2 p.m., Sunday funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Joe Smith, Dunlap United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery, New Paris. Memorial contributions may be made to Elkhart Center for Hospice Care.
