Francis J. Coyne, 86 of Goshen died at 12:27 am Friday, February 22, 2013 at IU Health Goshen Hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1927 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Patrick J. and Julia (Daley) Coyne. On June 21, 1952 in Ann Arbor, Michigan he married Mauveen McKenty. She died June 10, 2010. Surviving is one daughter; Martha (Larry) Clipp, of Seymour, Illinois; five sons, Patrich M. (Barbara) Coyne, of Rialto, California, David G. (Laura) Coyne, of Goshen, Christopher P. (Vickie) Coyne, of Goshen, Daniel S. (Emily) Coyne, of Evanston, Illinois, Stephen J. Coyne, of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Connor and Gertrude Bellavance, both of New Bedford, Massachusetts; and a brother, John F. (Eileen) Coyne, Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Catherine Fitzgerald and a brother, Edmond "Pat" Coyne. Mr. Coyne was an accountant. He was the cost accounting manager at Kaiser Jeep Corp. He also owned and operated Old Father Canoe Renal on the Elkhart River. He had also worked in Sturgis, Mich. at Marvel Industries as treasurer and at Goshen Rubber, he was a cost estimator. He was also the director of finance at Starr Commonwealth and controller for Instamatic Crop. He belonged to the Goshen Lions Club, Friends of the Library, Christian Family Movement, Exchange Club, Toastmasters, and on the board of the National Association of Investor's Club. Friends may call on Wednesday February 27, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and on Thursday February 28, 2013 for one hour prior to the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. Rev. Father Tony Steinacker will officiate. Cremation will follow the service and burial of Francis' cremated remains will be at 11:00 am on Friday, March 1, 2013 at West Goshen Cemetery. Members of the Goshen Honor Guard will honor Mr. Coyne's military service at the graveside service. He served in the Navy during WW II in the Pacific Fleet.
