Mrs. Frances Gavin Paff, 90, Goshen, died late Wednesday night, June 30, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 15, 1920 to the late Thomas and Maude (Sink) Gavin, in Evanston, Illinois.  She married Elmo Ray Paff, he survives.  Mrs. Paff was a social worker; she worked for the Evangelical Children’s Home, St. Louis, and Walsworth County Social Services, Wisconsin.  She was a member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ, there she played the organ and hosted people as a Pastor’s wife.  She is survived by three sons, Toby (Nancy Woo) Paff, Frenchtown, New Jersey, Tony (Aurora) Portero Paff, Councils Bluff, Iowa, Bradley Paff, Elkhart; two daughters, Rachel (Kent Weekly) Paff, Goshen, Lois (Erland) Paff Bergen, Palmer Lake, Colorado; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Paff, Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Paff was preceded in death by one son, Lester Paff; one grandson, Reuben Paff; and one brother, John Gavin.  Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 7 funeral service will be held at Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen.  Hospice Chaplain Eldon Stoltzfus will officiate.  Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
