Frances A. Gingerich, 74, of Goshen, passed away Friday evening, October 31, 2014, from MS related complications, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital where she had been since Wednesday. She was born Dec. 21, 1939 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Alvin and Mary (Miller) Helmuth. On June 13, 1964 she married Alton "Al" Gingerich in Litchfield, Minn. He survives along with three sons, Darrell Gingerich, South Bend, Lloyd (Margarita) Gingerich, Grand Rapids, Mich. and Steven (Jo Dean) Gingerich, Chandler, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and four sisters, Laura (Abe) Yoder, Paynesville, Minn., Esther (James) Miller, Killenchin, Germany; Mary (Omar) Stoltzfoos, Leola, Pa. and Edith (Ken) Schlabach, Millersburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Gingerich was a member of Walnut Hill Mennonite Church and Aglow International. She was co-owner and operator, along with her husband, of Goshen Speedwash, now 1st Quality Cleaners and Laundry, for 28 years. As business owners, they were members of the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. In her younger years she worked as an LPN at various hospitals. Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, Goshen. Pastor Jane Stoltzfus Buller will officiate. Burial will follow in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to MEDA or Walnut Hill Mennonite Church.
