Forrest "Ned" Robison, 79, of Elkhart, died Wednesday morning, October 26, 2011 at Elkhart Rehabilitation Center after a two month illness. He was born May 5, 1932 in Goshen to Forrest W. and Wilma (Williamson) Robison. He married Norma Cripe on May 12, 1952 at St. John's Rectory, Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Susan E. (Ronald) Konopinski and Sally A. (Rick) Sweazy, both of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Traci) Sweazy, Nicole Suchocki, Andrea (Andrew) Hauser and Brett Bowers; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Walter "Skip") Miller, Goshen; and a brother, Jerry (Marla) Robison, Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Colleen. A longtime resident of the area, Mr. Robison worked at Bayer for more than 26 years. After retiring in 1987, he worked as a pharmacist at Oaklawn, Elkhart General Hospital and various other locations. A 1959 Purdue graduate, Mr. Robison served with the US Navy from 1951-54 as a hospital corpsman. Mr. Robison's wishes were to be cremated. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 28, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011, memorial service will be conducted. Rev. Dave Howe of Heartland Hospice will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project.
