Floydene Carlson

Floydene Carlson, 78, of Goshen died Friday, August 23, 2019 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born December 14, 1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Floyd Willie and Jewel Virgie (Farquhar) Barr.

On January 18, 1964 she married Noel D. Carlson in Elk Point, South Dakota.

He survives along with children, Lynda Floydene (Joseph) Kolasa of Nowthen, Minnesota and Kent (Krystin) Carlson of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Leah (Aleasha) Kain, Abigayle (Jordan) Senff, Breanna Kolasa and Rebekka (David Aaron) DelaRosa; great-grandsons, Carter Miller and Ascher Molstad and brothers, Allen Wayne Barr of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Kenneth Don Barr of Dumas, Texas.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Myrian Malone, infant Darla Sue, Shirley and Willena Cook.

An accountant, Floydene, worked for Lakeland Engineering, Golden Valley.  She was a lifelong learner and valued education.   She enjoyed genealogy, reading, sewing, quilting, knitting, birding, photography and Mexican food.  She was a musician and an artist.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in Minnesota.
