Floyd L. Mast, 83, of Goshen passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 20, 2021 at home.
He was born November 2, 1937 in Elkhart County to Mose L. and Susanna (Hostetler) Mast.
On July 12, 1964, he married Theda J. Yoder in Nappanee.
She survives along with two children, Teresa (Gary) Miller of Hartville, Ohio and Eugene (Carrie) Mast of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Blake and Kaden Mast and Eva, Derek, Joshua and Cameron Miller; and three brothers, Loyal (Ana) Mast of Lingrove and Laban (Barbara) Mast and Lester (Marsha) Mast, both of Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Driscilla Bontrager and Mary Yoder.
A lifetime area resident, Mr. Mast was a member of Pleasant View Church, Christian Motorcycle Association and Voyager Club. At the age of 80, Floyd rode motorcycle in Hawaii, completing his goal to ride motorcycle in all 50 states.
Floyd will be remembered for his servant’s heart. He delivered motorcycles to Guatemala for Christian Motorcycle Association enabling local pastors to travel from town to town. He served his church by helping with Bible Memory, serving as an usher and teaching Sunday school. He also volunteered at The Window.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Pleasant View Church and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastors Mark Snyder and Ron Diener will officiate.
Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Christian Motorcycle Association.
