Fern Ellen Bunger, 82, of Goshen, died late Thursday night, March 5, 2016, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been since 2014. She was born in Wakarusa on July 3, 1932 to Benjamin and Katherine (Behney) Null. On July 4, 1950 she married Donald R. Bunger in Union, Michigan. He died Feb. 24, 1999. Survivors include three children, Gloria (Ken) Frey and Donna (Jeff) Crume, both of Goshen, and Ronald E. (Bonnie) Bunger of Mercer, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; six siblings, Larry Null and Janice (Claude) Wise, both of Fort Myers, Florida, Jerry Null of Wakarusa, Faye of Fort Wayne and Bernice Correll and Betty, both of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a son, Charles David Bunger; six brothers, Paul, Glenn, Lowell, Devon, James and Dennis Null; and three sisters, Sue Smeltzer, Judy Null and Mary Manning. A 1950 graduate of Wakarusa High School, she was a former member of the Women of the Moose. For 35 years Mrs. Bunger, ran the canteen at Johnson Controls. She also worked at The Oasis and Everett's Deli. Friends may call Monday, March 9, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where an 11:30 a.m. funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Pastor Gary Sheets, Shipshewana Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will follow in Baintertown Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to the Mooseheart.
