Farrell C. Cripe, 90, of Goshen, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Greencroft Healthcare.
He was born September 22, 1931 in Jackson Township, Elkhart County, to Walter A. and Molly Florence (Inbody) Cripe.
On May 10, 1952 he married Frances May Miller in New Paris. She died August 7, 2018.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Barry) Whitehead of Syracuse and twins, Darlene (Galen) Stouder and Denise Hoffer, both of New Paris; four grandchildren, Cory, Casie, Frank and Matthew; three step granddaughters, Amber, Brittany and Cassandra; four great-grandchildren, Payton, Tyler, Frank Logan and Estelle and five step-great-grandchildren, Sophie, Paisley, Paxton, Ezekiel and Emersyn.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Theodore, Marshall, Mentzer and Stanford.
Farrell graduated from New Paris High School and was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren. An avid sports enthusiast, he especially enjoyed watching his grandkids and great grandkids compete in their sporting events. He loved Reese’s peanut butter cups.
Mr. Cripe served with the US Marines during the Korean War. He worked for Penn/Johnson Controls for 42 ½ years before retiring in 1994.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Yoder will officiate.
Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial donations may be given to VFW Post #985 or Goshen City Church of the Brethren.
