F. Joyce Taylor, 63, died Wednesday afternoon, December 30, 2009, at her home in Goshen. She was born to the late Fred and Jewell (Diron) Springer, on July 17, 1946, in Wilson, Arkansas. She married Raymond M. Taylor on November 13, 1962, in Goshen, he preceded her in death on September 19, 2007. Mrs. Taylor retired in June 2007 from Oaklawn Hospital, after working in the kitchen for 20 years. An avid collector of cookbooks and salt and pepper shakers, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. She is survived by one daughter, Deb (Darell) Lewis, Goshen; two sons, Jeffie Ray Taylor, Westville, Indiana, Raymond (Leah) Taylor, Goshen; four sisters, Betty Todd, Athalene Brazel, Sue Looney, all of Goshen, Charlotte (Kenneth) Moore, Hardy, Arkansas; two brothers, Robert Earl (Jane) Springer, Goshen, Scott Dale (Victoria) Springer, Edwardsburg, Michigan; nine nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Steve Allen Taylor. Friends may call from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, and from 9-10 a.m., Monday, January 4, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m., Monday, January 4, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with Rev. David Hackney, New Paris Missionary Church and Rev. Bob Shreiner, Oaklawn Chaplain officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be made out to the Goshen Care at Home Hospice or the American Heart Association.
