Evelyn Mae Snider

Evelyn Mae Snider, 85, of Goshen, died early Friday morning, May 31, 2013 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. She was born January 26, 1928 in Pekin, Illinois, to John and Celia (Goucker) Albers. On June 2, 1950 she married Ray W. Snider in Pekin. He died July 26, 2000. Surviving is a son, John R. (LuAnn) Snider, of Oswego, Illinois; two daughters, Brenda (Richard) Grellner, of Asheville, North Carolina, and Barbara (Greg) Smucker, of Goshen; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Judy Kipfer, and Carol Ann Albers; and a brother, Donald Albers. Mrs. Snider retired as a registered nurse from Western Electric in Lisle, Illinois. She was a former member of Grace Point Bible Church, Naperville, Illinois, and current member of First Baptist Church, Goshen. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, June 6, 2013 prior to a 1:30 p.m. funeral service at First Baptist Church, Goshen. Rev. Dr. Greggory Lanzen will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin, Illinois. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church for mission
