Evelyn Marie Ortiz, 66, of Goshen, died unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday morning, December 16, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 9, 1949 in Goshen to Ralph Ralston and Florence (Neher) Shively.
She is survived by three children, Joetta Gilbert and Maria Miller, both of Elkhart and Joe (Tonie) Ortiz of Millersburg; 12 grandchildren, Monique Smith, Robert and Heather Fickert, Charlee Gilbert, Misty (Brandon) Kinsinger, Amanda (James) Randolph, Nathan, Joseph and Justin (Amber) Miller and Alex, Zach and Marissa Ortiz; 15 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Roy Shively of Millersburg and Duane Ralston of Goshen.
A lifetime Goshen resident, Evelyn worked at Starcraft in upholstery for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Goshen Moose Lodge.
Friends may call Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. celebration of life service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
Cremation will follow the service and there will be no burial.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County or the American Brain Foundation.
