Evelyn P. Eash, 93, of Boonville, formerly of Goshen, passed away Monday afternoon, August 15, 2011, at Bakers Rest Haven with her son, Jim, at her side. She had been in failing health the past year. She was born in Millersburg on November 8, 1917, to the late George and Margarite (Taylor) Kline. She married Alva Eash December 16, 1946 in Goshen. He died April 12, 1995. She is survived by a son, Dr. James E. Eash of Boonville and two granddaughters, Kara and Kelly. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Rathke and Freda Tulley and two brothers, Shirley and Haskle Kline. A longtime Goshen area resident, Mrs. Eash worked for Western Rubber and Penn Controls before retiring in 1982. She was a longtime member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Goshen and the VFW Auxiliary #985. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., Saturday, funeral service will be conducted. Rev. John Swain, family friend, will officiate. Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Marks United Methodist Church, Goshen.
