Evelyn L. Bushong

Evelyn L. Bushong, 89, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Greencroft Healthcare.

She was born February 9, 1928 in Goshen to Russell and Anna (Bohn) Hartzler.

On Decembetr 12, 1954 she married Nelson L. Bushong in Goshen.

He survives along with two sons, Garen (Susan) Bushong of North Manchester and Steven (Helen) Bushong of Goshen; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Hartzler.

Mrs. Bushong graduated from Goshen High School in 1946 and American Conservatory of Music in 1952.  She gave organ lessons for 40 years and was the longtime organist at Eighth Street Mennonite Church where she was a member.

She enjoyed gardening.

Friends may call Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Brenda Sawatzky Paetkau will officiate.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Eighth Street Mennonite Church.
