Evelyn F. Alwine

Evelyn F. Alwine, 87, formerly of Goshen, died Monday, December 5, 2005, at LaCanada Care Center, Tucson, Arizona. She was born on December 9, 1917, in Goshen, to H.F. and Laura (Yoder) Stump.  On March 6, 1937, she married Collen G. Alwine.  He died June 24, 1992.   She was a Goshen High School graduate and worked part-time in the gift department at Parkside Pharmacy.  For many years she was church pianist for Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen.   Mrs. Alwine was a member of the First Baptist Church, Goshen.   She is survived by three daughters; Jo (Wendell) Yoder of Tucson, Arizona, Joyce (Dave) D’Arcy of Goshen and Karen (Leon) Zimmerman of Lake Helen, Florida; eight grandchildren, 18 granchildren, three great-great grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Collen; her parents; six brothers, Lloyd, Wilbur, Irvin, Lawrence, George and Max Stump; and three sisters, Gertrude Stump, Louise Huffman and Virginia Hooley.   There will be no visitation.   A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Goshen, at a later date.   Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Goshen
