Eva Elizabeth Miller, 96, of Middlebury, died at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen, Wednesday afternoon, January 24, 2007, where she had been a patient since July 2006. She was born on November 15, 1920, in Shipshewana, Indiana, to Adam and Fannie (Nelson) Troyer. On June 23, 1928, she married Oscar E. Miller in LaGrange County. He preceded her on March 5, 2002. A member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mrs. Miller retired in 1973 from Richmond Wholesale in Goshen where she worked in the warehouse. She graduated from Lima High School in Howe, Indiana. Mrs. Miller loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughter-in-law and primary caregiver, Connie Miller Eash of Middlebury; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-granddaughters. Also surviving is a sister, Joyce (Truman L.) Miller of Howe and a brother, Joe Troyer of Hurricane, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard on November 7, 1989; a daughter Phyllis Jean in 1934 at the age of 4; four brothers, and two sisters. Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 27, at the funeral home. A 2:30 p.m. funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2007, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Garty of the Living Stones Fellowship, Middlebury will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
