Ethlyn Riley-Sternberg

Ethlyn F. Riley-Sternberg, 88, of Martinsville, formerly of Goshen, died Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Grand Valley Healthcare & Rehab.

She was born May 11, 1935 in Elkhart to Clarence and Leona (Rhinesmith) Hoke.

She is survived by a daughter, Kim Fish of Martinsville; a step-daughter, Janet Thompson; step-son, Mark Sternberg; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson; and one great-grandchild.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George E. Riley; second husband, John F. Sternberg; a son, Gregory G. Riley; a brother, Jonathan Hoke; and a sister Nadine Corse.

Ethlyn worked at Courtyard Healthcare Center for 26 years as a C.N.A., she was a member of Dunlap United Methodist Church and Dunlap Lions Club. In 2005 she joined the New Horizons Band in Elkhart.

Visitation will be from Thursday, February 29 from 11 until the 1 p.m. funeral service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Pastor Melissa Englehart will officiate.

Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to The New Horizons Band of Elkhart.
