Ethel "Peggy" Rigby

Ethel “Peggy” Rigby, 94, of Constantine, Michigan, died late Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2006 at Fairview Nursing Home.  She had been ill eight months.   She was born December 5, 1911, in Constantine, Michigan, to Sim and Marel (Walters) Arnold.  On July 12, 1929, in Goshen, she married Charles A. Rigby.  He died January 28, 1996.   Mrs. Rigby, along with her husband, owned and operated Brownie and Chuck’s Resort at Stone Lake in Middlebury, Indiana, and in the winter months, Pine Ridge Resort in Pinellas Park, Florida.   She is survived by several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a sister, Helen Wyman; and four brothers, Reuben, Robert, Ralph and Stanley Arnold.   Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, at the funeral home.   A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Rev. Mark Erres of the Constantine United Methodist Church will officiate.   Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
